FAQs
- Do we need the help of an interior designer / designer service even if we have a general knowledge of materials and a carpenter for work execution?
A well-trained, professional interior designer can give you new ideas, suggest better ways of getting things done, and acquaint you with new and different designs and finishes so that you have a bigger range of options to choose from. With the involvement of a designer service, the end result is functional as well as aesthetic—and execution becomes hassle-free. - Does the involvement of designer service increase the cost?
It is a myth that designers increase your project cost. In fact, the involvement of a designer helps you obtain design solutions that ensure minimum wastage, better deals with vendors / suppliers and reduction in wastage through systematic execution methods. When you work with us, you save time because we provide you complete solutions—right from designing to execution. You are also saved the tension and frustration of negotiating with vendors and the carpenters. In other words, our involvement lets you get better value for your money. - With so many material options available, how do you suggest we select the right materials and finishes for our house?
There is no such thing as a "right" material. We help you in arriving at a decision on the best suited material for your purpose of use and budget. We offer our inputs in selection of finishes among the wide range of design and colors available, based on your taste and preferences.
- What is the time frame for the work?
It usually depends on the scope of work, the client's ability to arrive at a decision using the choices provided by the designer, the time available and the flow of money. - Is it possible to arrive at the cost of the project at the initial stage?
We offer you approximate budgeting based on your requirements at the beginning of the project. Any variations, based on the design, shall be intimated to you and we proceed only after getting your approval. We try to provide you with the best possible solution within the given cost.
- How involved would we, as clients, be in the project?
Your involvement is very important to us as your satisfaction is our primary goal. We base our designs on your requirements and preference in colors and finishes. We offer our inputs and services to convert your dreams into reality.
- How confident can we be about the quality of work?
We offer complete quality assurance in every aspect of the work—right from the quality of materials used to the quality and professional standards of execution to adherence to schedules. - What background study should we do before approaching a designer?
If you have a specific idea about your basic requirements, style of design / finish and budget, it would be an advantage. Not that you have to worry if you don't—we can offer you options for all the above and help you arrive at a decision. We welcome clients who approach us with a very definite idea of the requirements, wanting us to translate them into reality, as well as clients who come to us with an open frame of mind.
- What is the process / schedule of a typical interior project?
It starts with a client meeting to assess requirements. We then move on to arrive at an approximate estimate based on material specifications; create conceptual drawings which are reviewed, approved and finalised; a final estimate formed after further meetings / discussions, followed by execution or installation work on site.
